Getting Started

How do I create an account?
Use the sign up or get started option on the homepage, then finish your profile setup after your first sign-in.
Is DIYer really free?
Yes. DIYer is free to use, including project publishing, media uploads, and community features.
How do I publish my first project?
Once you are signed in, use the create action and choose "Project" to open the publishing flow.

Projects and Content

What kinds of projects can I share?
Woodworking, electronics, crafts, home improvement, gardening, 3D printing, sewing, and more.
Can I edit projects after publishing?
Yes. If you own the project, you can return and update it later.
How large can uploads be?
Each file should stay under 50MB for the best experience.
Can I save projects from other people?
Yes. Save builds to revisit them later from your profile.

Profile and Privacy

How do I make my profile private?
Open Settings and switch off "Public Profile". Private profiles are visible only to approved followers.
Can I change my username?
Yes. DIYer checks username availability in real time.
How do I delete my account?
Go to the "Danger Zone" in Settings and follow the delete flow.

Community and Engagement

How do comments work?
DIYer supports threaded replies so discussions stay connected to the right message.
Can I follow other makers?
Yes. Follow creators to see more of their work in your experience.
What happens when someone likes my project?
You receive a notification and can review engagement from your content surfaces.

Technical Issues

My images are not uploading. What should I do?
Check the file size and format first, then try again with a current browser or refreshed session.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Use the "Forgot password?" link from the login flow and follow the reset email.
The site is not working correctly. What should I do?
Refresh the page, clear cache if needed, and make sure your browser is up to date.
